My Mother’s Voice

Everything began two years ago with the protest of a grieving mother, who is known as “Mother Hacire” in Turkey. She came to the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP) Diyarbakır headquarters with a hammer in her hand, broke the windows of the building and said: “I am not leaving here without my child!” And, she started a sit-in protest in front of the building.
